Opening Days for Aspen, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk - Aspen Homes for Sale
Whether you’re living in Aspen, planning a vacation or taking steps toward buying a home near the slopes, the beginning of autumn probably gets you thinking about the upcoming ski season.
Colorado’s scenery is famous year-round, but the state is arguably better-known for its snow sports than any other activity—particularly in Aspen. The local resorts and slopes offer views and activities throughout the year, but skiing and snowboarding are the big draws for locals and visitors.

Aspen and Snowmass

We really have something to be thankful for – both Aspen and Snowmass celebrate opening day on Thanksgiving Day. Go ahead and mark your calendars for November 26, 2015, and enjoy some (or all) of your long weekend enjoying the beginning of the 2015 season on your favorite slopes.
With new snowmaking equipment, the completion of new trail and glade projects, the return of last year’s tubing runs and the newly improved and realigned High Alpine lift, locals and repeat visitors will have new runs and activities to explore this year.
In addition to the year’s first run, you can enjoy several events on and off the slopes that are scheduled for opening weekend.

Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk

Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands share the same opening date for this season’s fun: December 12, 2015. With these openings, the 2015 Aspen Snowmass season will be in full swing, to the delight of all who enjoy the exciting combination of fresh powder and the laws of physics.
