Maroon Bells, Colorado

The Maroon Bells mountain peaks are a popular destination for visitors looking to experience the beauty of the rocky mountains during the summer and fall months. Maroon Lake, with its glistening waters and flora and fauna, is a great place for exploration for your next adventure.
One of the best ways to observe the Maroon Bells is via shuttle operated by the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA).
Make sure to plan your get-away early if you want to enjoy this scenic landmark, as reservations are mandatory to visit the Maroon Bells Scenic Area. The reservation portal opened on April 12, 2021 for the summer season (May 14 to October 24).
From June 7 to October 24, visitors will be required to take the RFTA shuttle service between 8 am–5 pm. The fee for each passenger is $16. Reservations are still required for personal vehicles ($10/vehicle) before 8 am and after 5 pm.
Parking & Shuttle reservations are required during the summer season from May 14 to October 24, 2021. For Maroon Bells reservation inquiries, please contact 970-930-6442 or info@visitmaroonbells.com.

Hanging Lake, Colorado

In the heart of Glenwood Canyon in the White River National Forest, Hanging Lake is one of Colorado’s natural treasures. Although it is a challenging 1.2 mile trail with steep and rocky sections, it’s still a worthwhile experience for any avid hiker. This Natural National Landmark features breathtaking scenery and is seconds from Bridal Veil Falls!
Reservations are now available to visit Hanging Lake. The area will be open to visitors on May 1, 2021 and costs $12 per person.
Hikers may choose between two options for their visit: either self-drive and park in the Hanging Lake rest area, or they can bike or hike to the trailhead through Glenwood Canyon. Both permits are the same price and have the same time slots available for visiting hikers.
Reservations for hiking permits can be made for hourly slots starting at 6:30 am until 5:30 pm.
