Installing a Fabulous Fixture in the Foyer

When you initially decided on lighting options for your new home you wanted to choose some of the fancier selections, but the cost increase just wasn’t in the budget.
Since things are different now, consider giving your lighting a lift in the very first space your guests will enter: the foyer. If you’ve got an entryway with tall ceilings a chandelier or a candelabra can be just the right touch.
Or, in a more private space, you may opt for a chandelier in your en suite bathroom. Whether you choose a modern fixture or one with vintage glam, you can give your bathroom a luminous and luxurious focal point.

Spicing-Up Your Kitchen 

As the chef of the family you’re excited that the fancy kitchen you’ve always wanted is now within reach. Since you were never a huge fan of the builder’s standard darker granite countertops, consider replacing them with quartz, or even Carrara marble.
To upgrade your kitchen hardware consider investing in a full complement of super high-quality knobs, pulls, and faucet fixtures. Dark hardware, like matte black or oil-rubbed bronze, are instant classics on lighter cabinets.
Since you never did install a backsplash consider using subway tile laid in a brick pattern. Oversized tiles can create an even more modern look. Plus, they cover more surface area so you need less of them.
