What is a Bagua?

A bagua, pronounced “bag-wa,” is a feng shui energy map. It’s an octagonal grid that contains the symbols of the I Ching. (The I Ching is an ancient oracle.)
People who decorate with feng shui in mind use a bagua to make connections between different areas and aspects of their own life experiences. Many use a bagua to figure out how to position furniture and other objects in rooms because they believe it will bring them positive benefits.
Stay tuned for our next post on feng shui, which deals with feng shui cures.
