12 Days of Aspen
From December 20 to December 31, downtown Aspen will transform into a holiday haven filled with the sights, sounds and tastes of the season. The Aspen Chamber of Commerce and local businesses will welcome thousands of residents and visitors to celebrate the season. You’ll want to check out the Chamber’s event calendar for specific dates and times, but here’s a small sample of what’s happening in 2016.

Basalt

Sven the Elf at Rock Bottom Ranch
Sven the elf will make his annual visit to Rock Bottom Ranch in Basalt from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 7. Bring the family and join Sven for the following activities:

  • Hot chocolate by the campfire
  • Feeding farm animals
  • Puppet show

Carbondale

Light Up Carbondale
On December 2, Santa will arrive in Carbondale to light up the town. Many activities are planned from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. including:

  • Bonfire
  • Caroling
  • Lighting of the tree
  • Refreshments
  • Santa’s arrival

Snowmass

Light Up the Night at Snowmass Chapel
Snowmass rings in the holidays each year with a ceremonial tree and grounds lighting at Snowmass Chapel. Of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance for the following:

  • Bonfire
  • Caroling
  • Hot chocolate
  • Lighting of the tree and grounds
