#1. Power wash your sidewalks and driveway

Rent a power washer or hire a professional to make sure your sidewalks and driveway are as clean as they’re going to get. You might be surprised at how big a difference it makes!
While you’re at it, clean your home’s exterior (not with the power washer, though – that can cause serious damage to siding, facades and other materials).

#2. Clean up the yard

Cut the grass, edge around walkways and weed the flower beds. If you have patchy spots in your lawn, fill them in well in advance of listing your home for sale. Buyers want to see a neat yard that appears easy to maintain, and the best way to show them that is to clean it up. Put bicycles and kids’ toys away, tuck away the sprinkler and pick up what your dog leaves behind, too.

#3. Refresh your home’s exterior

Take a good, hard, objective look at your home’s exterior. If you were seeing it for the first time, what would you notice? Do you need a fresh coat of paint, new house numbers or updated light fixtures? How’s your mailbox holding up?
