The Woody Creek Trail is 9.7 miles one way. You start at 8,600 feet in elevation and reach the summit at 11,600 feet. This dog-friendly trail allows you to:

The entire path is dirt.
How to get there: Take Upper River Road and turn on Woody Creek Road. Travel 8.75 miles, past Lenado. You’ll see the trailhead on your right, just before the bridge where the road changes names to Larkspur Mountain Road.

Spruce Creek Trail

The Spruce Creek Trail is 3.4 miles one way. You begin your hike at 8,500 feet and reach the summit at 12,500 feet.  This dog-friendly trail allows you to:

  • Hike
  • Run
  • Horseback ride
