January is a busy month in Aspen.

January Events in Aspen: January 1 through January 10
January 2: Nahko and Medicine for the People at Belly Up
Nahko and Medicine for the People is performing at Belly Up to celebrate their third full-length album, HOKA. Tickets are $32 for general admission and $50 reserved.
January 3: Birding With ACES
Birding with ACES takes place at Hallam Lake. Admission is $15 for members and $25 for non-members.
January 4: Physics Lectures at the Aspen Center for Physics
Between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. is the Physics Café; the lecture starts at 5:30 and lasts until 6:30. The event will be held at the Wheeler Opera House, and admission is free.
January 4: ACES: Potbelly Perspectives
Located at Hallam Lake, the Potbelly Perspectives series takes place at 7 p.m.
January 5: MET Live in HD: Wagner’s Tristan Und Isolde
The show starts at 5:30 p.m. and features the Metropolitan Opera’s new production, Tristan Und Isolde, starring Nina Stemme and Stuart Skelton. Sir Simon Rattle is the conductor for this fabulous production at the Wheeler Opera House.
January 5: ACES Naturalist Nights
ACES, the Wilderness Workshop, and the Roaring Fork Audubon Society walk through the natural world with slideshows and discussion. The event takes place at Hallam Lake at 7 p.m.
January 7: Warren Miller’s Here, There, and Everywhere
Located at Wheeler Opera House and with admission set at $15, this amazing show features Marcus Caston, Grete Eliassen, Jeremy Jones, Jess McMillan, Wendy Fisher, Collin Collins, and more.
January 9: Monday Docs at the Wheeler: The Great Alone
The Wheeler Opera House is showing The Great Alone, a fantastic movie detailing Lance Mackey’s challenging win in an annual dogsled race from Anchorage to Nome.
